The VC200 paint thickness gauge is equipped with three practical test modes that enhance the ability of professionals to monitor paint depth effectively:

SNG (Single Measurement): This mode measures the paint once and then stops, making it ideal for spot checks.

CTN (Continuous Measurement): It continuously measures the paint depth as long as the probe is in contact with the substrate surface, perfect for assessing a specific area.

DIF (Difference Measurement): This mode displays the thickness difference between two consecutive measurements, which is excellent for checking depth variations to inspect the quality of paint jobs and to evaluate collision damage.

This automotive paint meter offers three calibration options to ensure more precise measurement outcomes:

Basic Calibration: This is the standard procedure to align the meter for general use.

Zero Point Calibration: It allows you to set the meter to read "0" when measuring uncoated metal, such as iron or aluminum, providing a baseline for accurate thickness readings.

Offset Calibration: This mode accounts for any reading differences when using plastic shims over uncoated metal, offering the ability to adjust and compensate for variations in thickness.
